not able to macerate anymore where I live now. Not enough space from neighbors. Now I'm simmering till 90% clean then degrease till oil and grease free, that also cleans up the rest of the skull that may still have meat brains etc. then whiten. Took a few years but I've finally got the process down to turn out brilliant white skulls that are totally oil and grease free.

Post by: hunterofelk on December 21, 2018, 06:51:13 AM: That looks great! I have one elk European style mount but the wife banished it to the darkest part of the basement. She doesn't like looking at the skulls, but the racks I have with covered skull plates are hanging in the main room.
