I posted this on the Eastern Washington Upland Bird Hunters facebook page but wanted to post it here as well.
Team Upland Hunters,
I am looking for some advise and extending an open invite. My name is Charlie and I am relatively new to Washington but not upland hunting. I have a 7 year old vizsla who brings way more to the hunt then I do. I have a hall pass for this coming Tuesday and Wednesday (maybe Wednesday/Thursday). I plan to leave Bellevue around 7:30 am on Tuesday and drag my camper to the dry side. I am not looking for any secret spots but advice on which general area I should head to between Wenas, Crab Creek, Potholes or Yakima Nation area. Would mainly want to target quail but would also be down for chukar or pheasant. Any advice on a good camping spot would also be appreciated. Lastly, anyone who would like to join just let me know.
Charlie

I can't help you much with any of the places you listed. I spend my time in the Columbia basin. If you're after quail, there are a ton in the basin. Pick a piece of state/DNR/public whatever and hunt it. I do best around smaller water.

If you don't mind jumping through the hoops, the Training Center has birds also. Here's the link to the policy.

Thers is a big piece of scabland that they used to release birds. Not sure if they still are. It's on the Southeast corner of Dobson Rd and Frenchman Hills. Big and open.
