Never been duck hunting so my friend who lives in Oregon offered to take me Saturday . It's my understanding I can just buy a 3 day non resident waterfowl liscense for 30$ instead of spending the 167$ on a hunting liscense ? Can anyone clarify and tell me what exactly I need to go hunt ducks for one day in Oregon as a Washington resident ? Thanks !

You will also need a Game Bird Validation to go with your 3 day license from my understanding. I just bought one last week it’s an additional $43 or close to it. Also last weekend was my first duck hunt and it was a good time! Shot a box of shells and got my limit of ducks

So it's 43$ plus 30$ . But I don't have to pay the non resident 167$ hunting fee ? Just to clarify lol ?

Add a federal duck stamp to that if you don’t have one already.

Yes that is correct. Also the migratory stamp is good until June. So if you want to hunt again with your buddy you can just continue to buy the 3 day license's all the way to the end of duck season. Also don't forget the federal stamp if you don't already have it.
