Title: Bobcat prices
Post by: wablkandtan on January 24, 2019, 10:27:01 AM: Any idea what eastern Washington cats should be going for? Fleshed and stretched.
Been offered $125 a cat. Not sure if thats low or a good price.

Post by: highside74 on January 24, 2019, 11:04:32 AM: There is a newer thread about the fur sale in Idaho. Bobcats averaged $382 with one going for almost $1000 so I would think hard before giving them up for $125

Look at the belly. If the belly is not fully white and has a bridged place where the white is interrupted somewhat it is not going to make the higher prices. I doubt you will be able to appreciate what a high priced cat looks like unless you go to some of the sales and get a look at the good and bad. Might be educational to take your cats to one of the sales.

Had a great coat though. I think he said when he put it up it got around $300 at auction. Like $280 something, would’ve gotten more but it was too small. That was text book good looking cat though

It is shocking to see the difference between a $1000 cat and a $50 cat in person.

Take yours to a sale and see what you get. I think all or most sale's you can put a reserve of how much you are willing to take before you would sell it. So put $200 and see if anyone will give you $200. And if nobody gives you $200 or whatever you put as your reserve then send them to NAFA.
