Title: Herd Locations
Post by: Palmer on October 24, 2007, 11:33:15 PM
Bull 3 pt or better with 4 cows spotted this evening at intersection of I-90 and HWY 18.  That'd be units 454 and 460.  I know its closed right now but someone may want to keep  track of em.  Good luck on the 3rd.

they're there every night. virtually anyway. they are eating the hydroseed...
destined to be road kill one of these days.
very natural setting with them eating the silly-string looking grass seed like it's candy.

Unless you get them while they are on the south side of 90 and east side of 18, you can't shoot them even during season....that area is part of the firearms restricted area....

Bearhunter,
It is leagal to hunt in a firearm restricted area during the rifle season if you use a bow or a muzzleloader with your rifle tag. Muzzleloaders are considered limited range weapons and are leagal in a firearm restricted areas. You may use legal shotguns fireing slugs or buckshot also see page 67 in the Wa. big game rules. The grey area and there are many in our pamphlet is also there on page 67 it says under 2) Muzzleloader tag holders  are ristricted from hunting that part of GMU 652 outlined for King County but in the next 3) Modern Firearm it does not but lists the legal methods. so are we to assume the same is true under 3) that it states under 2)? I would still hunt that with a bow just to cover myself but if you were hunting it with a muzzleloader during the rifle season I think you would have a case with the warden.
