Title: Springer pup meets Chuck
Post by: Bluemoon on February 18, 2019, 09:47:41 AM
How early is to early to introduce a puppy to birds?  My opinion is start them as soon as possible.  Here is Diamond head meeting her first Chukar at 7 weeks old.  She was on Quail at 4.5 weeks. If anyone is also wondering she is still looking for her forever home along with one brother.

That is so cool.

All I can think when I watch that video is that your breeding is truly top-notch. That pup knows what to do PERIOD.

Thank you for those words Jagermeister.  Myself like a few of the others I know on here put a lot of thought and research into their breeding programs. To have it recognized by my peers is very satisfying.

Awesome! It is great to see them on birds at such a young age! From what I have seen it definitely makes a difference in their drive and ability to train in the future when it comes to wild birds. It was a world of difference in the training realm  between our lab that was exposed to live birds as a puppy and the one that wasn't. It looks like you have a great program, I'm sure she will make a awesome dog for someone!
