Switching from trad back to compound I was wondering what I should put on my bow as far as a silencer? Used string leaches and they do a great job on my recurve. Right now my Mathews has got those monkey tail things that you just strap to the string and I rate them next to garbage. The top limb one keeps falling down! I never liked cat whiskers either. What’s everyone else use? I think wrapping my string with beaver fur might look silly hahaha

String leeches and a string suppressor.

I don't run anything on the strings anymore. Set of limbsavers on the limbs and that's it.

I’ll have to look into limbsavers. Forgot about those. Stuck em on a real handshocky recurve before and they worked great!

Put the monkey tails on your cables, not your strings. On your string put cat whiskers on. If you have a split limb compound get some vibration dampeners like limb saver. Make sure there is plenty of room for your cams to roll over without interference, keeping them about a 1/2" away from the cam.

Cat whiskers are by far the best for noise and you can install them without a press 2x better then leaches. If your going to use leaches put them on your string and cables.

Cat whiskers for me too.
