Title: ***March*** - Waterfowl Retriever Training Day - Monroe
Post by: Colin on February 28, 2019, 05:32:39 AM
Not sure why my other post is coming up blank... but its March already and the snow has melted for the most part on the training grounds so Whistling Wings Training Day is on!

When: Sunday, Mar. 10th, 2019
Where: 17126 State Route 203, Monroe, WA

If you are not familiar with the club we are a group of like minded retriever enthusiasts and hunters who meet to put on training days and UKC Hunt Tests.

Training Days are what the club is really about. Training days provide the opportunity to train and teach your dog how to be a retriever. The club brings out the trailer of equipment and birds (ducks) to give your dog the experience it needs for either hunting or Hunt Tests. Additionally, members provide members with the tips, things to work on, and any other information you need to help improve your dogs field work. Training days are perfect whether you're training your dog for upcoming Hunt Test Season or wanting to work on some skills for waterfowl season. If you don't have a dog or are interested in getting a dog, come out and see what it's all about.

Your first time is absolutely free. We don't want you to worry about anything but coming out and having a great time and learning something or teaching us something new. Lunch is provided.

Looking forward to getting the training seasons started and swapping hunting stories with some new faces!

Hi Colin, appreciate you reposting for March.  Is there a particular start time or planned duration?

Thanks,
Highhunter

Start time is 10am and you can leave whenever but we usually try and wrap up by 3pm. Setup starts at 8am and can be good for learning purposes but makes for a long day if it's your first time. I'd suggest coming around 9am that way you can get signed in and meet some folks and get the lay of the land and see a little of the setup. We usually have coffee and snacks as well.
