Looking up updating my HHA single pin which I love, but was thinking.....is there a 2 or 3 pin sight with vertical adjust?? I really can't stand the 5 to 7 pin sights as it is hard to focus one pin on the animal....my againg eyes I guess. If I had a couple pins spread out and had the ability to adjust, that may be ideal.
My current set up is single pin kept at 30 yards. Never adjust unless it is past 40 yards. Most shots don't require adjusting except for at the range.
What sights do you have and like?

I'm using the spot hogg fast Eddie xl 2 pin. Love it!!! Set my top pin at 30 and my bottom pin is 42 pretty much covered to 50 with no movement.
-
My eyes aren’t getting any younger either. It’s pretty hard to beat my montana black gold accent three pin slider. Had to finally swap my .010 pins to .019 a few weeks ago. Didn’t realize how much I was straining to see them until I swapped um out. Getting old sucks...

Small pins are too hard to see for sure. I shoot a 5 pin but with .029 pins. no problems seeing them.

I was looking at this one and had something very similar in mind. May have to look a little closer at it...thanks for the response.

I will have to take a look at he Montana black gold as well. Never played with one...are they built well?

Yes, MBG are built well. I run one as well but mine is a five pin sight. I would go with a three pin slider though.

I sold my Spot Hogg Fast Eddie (It had a rattle I couldn't track down) for a Montana Black Gold 3 pin ascent. MBG are rock solid.
-
I've got the Montana black gold 5 pin slider, going to take out a couple pins and make it a 3 pin.
5 pins makes me a bit crosseyed now I'm getting older
20
30
40 slide down to 60+

I have shot a 3 pin slider site for over 20 years. Both my bows are set up this way. I can shoot at the practice range out to 100 yards and when I hunt I just set my middle pin at 30 yards and lock it down. I get 20-30-40 for my hunting and that is all I need for my hunting.
-
The Montana Black Gold 3 pin looks like it might fit the bill just fine. 30-40-50. Should never have to adjust in the field and at the range, I can slide it for the longer shots.

MBG 3 pin slider. Money!
-
Not sure if it was mentioned but someone has a sight that has a fixed single pin, with adjustable multis. Kind of the best of both worlds.
Not quite sure who manufactured it but it it kind of blew me away. Had the adjustable multis for fixed set ranges (adjustable with allen key), Then a single adjustable one that was considered your "primary" and it was just on a slider like a normal single pin, So you could either dial in pinpoint accuracy, or throw up a general range for quicker acquisition.
If anyone can chime in on what model exactly what would help :dunno:

That’s how mines set up. I’ve had to slide it in the field when antelope hunting. Shots can get out past 60 but for elk and for the most part mule deer those three distances are really all you need. There rock solid

SMOSSY
That sight is made by Option Archery and is bad ass but also very expensive
-
The MBG sight I’ve had on my last bow took 10 years of abuse in the field and never had any problems. I can’t count how many times I went down with it over rough/steep terrain. Never affected POI once. That was a five pinner.

Yikes $400

Yikes $400
If you're looking at shooting long range it'll be $425 so you can get the 8 pin housing. Love mine but the price tag is painful.

Where you located? Id totally be interested in trying one of those things out to be completely honest. I've been known to waste money on dumber things >_<

I'm in the Tri-citties.

Ever looked at the IQ sights? I'm curious about the retina lock. Seems like a legit way to deal with torque. I've never tried one myself, but considering it.
-
I am currently trying out the Trophy Ridge Hotwire which has 2 fixed pins and one floating pin that you can adjust on the fly.
Was originally looking at the the IQ hunter pro version of it but it was a hundred more. and I don't really feel I need the Retina lock part.
So far I am liking it..
Someday I may try the EZ V sight for kicks but... Never had an issue with pins.

My favorite sight is the option archery sight and my second is the black gold pro. Both are fantastic sights and you can custom order them however you want them setup. If you are shooting long distance the black gold will extend your reach a hair further than the option sight. I can get 121 yards out of the black gold and only 106 yards with the option.
-
I was looking at the MBG pro 3 pin sight. So it is adjustable. Is it just the bottom pin that moves? And it looks like I can change the color of the green ring to red to match my bow
Correct

You are correct. You can change each pin to a different size also. So you could go 30 yards .29, 40 yards .19 and your slider at .10 . You can also customize the colors of each pin.
-
Green is more visible, but set it up however you want. The pin doesn’t move, its the housing that moves

Is there an archery shop in the state that sells the MBG sights?

I bought my custom MBG through great northwest archery in Puyallup.
-
On the MBG the whole housing moves. The trophy taker “option “ only the pin moves, and the front half of the housing that holds the fixed pins can be flipped forward out of view. It will be the next sight I get.
-
HHA makes a 3 pin housing you can swap onto your bracket. I picked one up a couple months ago.

I have the Black Gold Pro & really like it. All the micro adjustments are nice.
