Title: Deer/wolf study out of Republic area
Post by: Tracker0721 on March 09, 2019, 08:08:36 AM
Saw this on the RMEF page. We’re they even telling us we had 2 wolf packs around town in 2013? Makes sense that hunter success is dropping here, half the people still road hunt and most the deer are now tucked way back or in town.

I have wolf track pictures from the state pit west of Republic form 10 years ago or so and Dana Base saw the pictures and couldn't of cared about them one bit until Ron Cram showed him them and then he got all lathered up and that was the end of it.......

"Long term, changes among mule deer in wolf areas could affect other parts of the ecosystem, and perhaps reduce the number of deer-vehicle collisions. These possible impacts are tantalizing fodder for future studies, Wirsing added."

I knew we could find the pony in this pile of crap if we looked hard enough. Look how many lives are being saved by killing all of the deer.
