It's that time of year, the warm weather has me thinking about arrowing a few fish. Anyone getting out yet? I think the WBA had a shoot over at Potholes last weekend, but I heard from another source that a good part of the reservoir was still frozen...?
Feel free to chime in if you're sticking any fish, and if there's no pictures it didn't happen!

Anybody been out at Potholes? I'm going to try to make it over later this month, just wondering if there were fish moving...

I was bass fishing the Potholes last Sunday and the carp were going crazy in the shallows everywhere I fished. Frenchmans above the state park and teh Winchester were loaded with both bass and carp.

Anyone ever try bow fishing in Silver Lake in Cowlitz County? There's a ton of carp in there, but it's pretty muddy water...

Been to silver lake 3 times in the last week. We’ve been getting onto them pretty good, it is hard to spot them that’s for sure

Finally got out on Potholes last weekend - water was WAY up, which is normal for this time of year, and the fish were in the willows making noise. Weekend started off tough with wind, rain, and lightning, but things calmed down by Monday morning. Went back to Winchester falls and slayed 'em, they were stacked in the pool by the dozens. Little tougher out on the big water with so much area for them to spread out into, but you just had to look for the shaking willows and you'd find them. Another couple weeks the water will be down a foot or two and the water will be a bit warmer and clearer - it's a bit colored up now. Looking forward to a great summer!
