Which one do you like best and why?
-
XDM. Not even close. Natural point of aim and better grip. No plastic guide rods. A far superior barrel which really makes a difference for shooting hardcast bear loads. Got 25 fps better through the chrono as well. Probably due to the match grade barrel. :twocents:

I haven't shot the XDM in 10mm, but it was nice in .40S&W
on the glock there's a ton of aftermarket to do about anything you want with it, not sure about the XD but if it runs the big stuff right out the gate it might just be a better no hassle option

For me I noticed that I had to adjust hand position on the XDM to release the mag, I have a XDM .40. I recently compared the XDM to the Glock 20 as I am in the market. I have tried my different backstraps for the .40 but still have to rotate the wrist for a thumb release. The glock fit my hand to the point that all I had to do was depress the release without changing my grip. I do like the XDM barrel and the price point so I am going to handle them both a couple more times before I make a choice. Also finding holsters for the XDM had been difficult in the past but I found a rig for my FHF harness that works.

XDM hands down I have owned both and been sitting on the sideline of the 10mm waiting for a better option after selling every 10mm I have ever bought. I got one of the first xdm10 on the market and love it very much!!!! Shoots great and the right size and I might even pick up another one for a designated hunter.
NWH84 look at the alien line up. That is what I bought for this new 10mm and I am digging it so far.

I have both, but I prefer the XDM, I have a few XD's also so I guess they feel more natural to me. When ever I shoot my Glock I am always adjusting my grip, I'm sure you would get used to either one though. You can use hard cast in the XDM without issue which is nice. I might be wrong but I think a XDM.45 holster works. I had Big Dogg Firearms make me a sweet custom holster/ rig. I morphed a chest holster and my bino harness together, turned out great!

Big Dogg Firearms made the holster, I made the chest plate and combined the chest rig parts I purchased from them. Once I had it set up I asked them to add the knife sheath. It's very secure and doesn't tug on one side or the other, balanced nicely. I also have the parts to attach the holster to my backpack hip belt, so it's a really versatile set up.
It's my understanding they are taking my idea and running with it.

I’m on the fence between the 4.5 and 5.25. Like Carp, I’ve sold the 3 10mms I’ve had and been waiting for the “right” one to come along.
Grimace, the straps coming off the holster, where/what do they connect to?
-
I ran a strap to a tri slide on the lower OV harness strap. I really didn't want to add a waist strap and this seems to work good.

Try shooting the G40 before you decide. A few more ounces and you have a much easier to shoot platform that still fits easily on your chest in a gunfighters Kenai holster. I wear mine under my bino harness with easy access and no issues. I’ve got over a hundred miles hiking with the gun binos and pack straps and have no complaints. I do use the vortex harness instead of the giant bino cases people seem to like.

I got the same setup, Kenai holster under a vortex bino holder, but I've got zero miles with it yet, glad to hear I'm on the right track with that setup

Same here
I have a few trips on
I did the moleskin on the chest side of the Kenai holster
Seems to work
20 year old crooked horn bino buddies over the top works fine

Glock vs Springfield is like Ford vs Chevy.
That being said, the G20 rules!!!!! :chuckle: :IBCOOL: :hello:

This is what I like about Glocks. Plenty of accessories and after market stuff. I've shot an XDS in 40 but not a fan of the grip safety. Good gun though and glad to see 10mm is making somewhat of a comeback.
