Title: Muzzy 3 blade for turkey?
Post by: EasternWaArcher on April 08, 2019, 10:35:35 AM: I'm taking the bow with me for turkey season this year. I am wondering about broadheads. I see those guillotine broadheads but I want to know if I can just put an arrow in its chest and done?

Archery is the one time its better to shoot a bird in strut with a broadhead... you can put it in his face (bubbles) which literally looks like a target when in strut, or put it up his rear... also looks like a target and a good time to draw when he's facing away from you. Else the shot placement is top of the wing.

Post by: tgomez on April 11, 2019, 07:24:21 PM: Muzzy 3 blade will work just fine. I use Allen Chisel Point broadeads that have 3 blades in 100 grain. If you put it in the vitals the Turkey will drop no problem. I have used these at over 40 yards with my compound with no problems. You don't need expensive broadheads to kill turkey, you need a accurate shot. 🦃 🎯🏹
