I spent a couple of days in the Sherman Creek Wildlife area last year and didn't hear a peep. That was my first time out and I had a great time just trying but I'd like to improve my chances. I'm going to be in the Little Pend Oreille Wildlife Refuge first weekend of May and was trying narrow down a part of that area to focus on (public land). I only have two days so any assistance would be great. Feel free to PM me and thanks in advance. Jason

They are all over that area. I used to hunt that area a lot but then it started to get a little crowded. I heard it's better than it used to be. There's a headquarter there and if you stop by and chat with them they will probably tell you where they have seen birds or at least where they haven't seen hunters. Also if you see a gamie stop and chat with them, they normally see and hear more than most hunters. If you have two full days you should have no problem finding birds. Scout day 1 and locate some birds and then get after them day 2. Good luck next week.
