Title: Wild turkey near Littlerock?
Post by: Blacktail Sniper on April 24, 2019, 01:03:28 PM
And not talking about the bottled kind...  :chuckle:

Had one out in the neighbor's back field a little while ago.  The section of field borders a decent sized greenbelt with a creek that runs throught to the Black River.

None of the immediate neighbors have domestic birds, so guessing it was a wild one??

Guessing it was about 20 pounds or so.  Don't have a decent enough camera to have gotten a picture though.

Once in a while you see them in small towns along the i5 corridor. But they are usually further south.

But yea PM me where you saw it and I'll verify it is an Eastern  ;)

There is a wdfw access area there where they planted them years ago out by littlerock, black river area, cannot remember the name right now.
Much like most of the surviving flocks, the quickly moved into private property.
