I am starting to get into reloading again. I did a little years ago for 223. I'm going to start with Kimber Sub Alpine in 280 AI , I have a Nosler manual and the Hodgdon Annual Manual for reference right now. The variety of powders is a bit overwhelming. Anyone care to share their favorite powder for this cartridge. I know I will need to do some experimenting with powders for my riffle, but I prefer not to buy 20 different ones to get there if possible.
My equipment consists of:
Hornady lock n load
Lyman single stage press
Lyman beam scale
Lyman case trimmer
Misc. RCBS dies
I have never set up the Lock and Load press so I'll probably start with the Lyman press to get things going.
Thank you for any suggestions

I run 7828ssc and Hornady 162 eld-x with good results. Only reason I picked the 7828ssc is because I had it on hand at the time of working my load. I am at 3030 FPS and very accurate.

4831 SC or RL23 with a 168 Berger around 2900-2930 worked well for a good friends rifle....

I'll look into RL 23, Thank you.
