Title: Eastern Washington Crappie
Post by: JJB11B on May 11, 2019, 08:50:12 AM: I have a hankering for some Crappie fishing. The only place I ever did any good on Crappie is gone, anyone have any tips on where a guy that lives in the Walla Walla area could go to catch some of the spiny buggers?

My highschool buddies and i went there in the late 80's and killed it a couple of times.

Why did it dry up?

Post by: plugger on May 17, 2019, 04:13:32 AM: the lower end of the paluse used to be really good if it wasn't muddy. White crappie jig, and be prepared to catch catfish on it as well. Used to kill them on it in there. just cant be dirty,

That happened before I was born, my grandpa used to fish that. I was talking about a cove that had a boat launch that is now silted in.

I use to fish that lake a ton when I lived in town. Now I'm over by Liberty lake and it takes me over an hour to get there. Super fun lake to fish, has anything you could ever think of fishing for.

I live so close, yet have never fished it. Maybe I should take my boat out there and try to learn it soon. I love me some big ol slabs!
