Title: Made an anchor on a windy day
Post by: JJB11B on May 19, 2019, 12:16:00 PM: It was supposed to be super windy on the water today so I made a new anchor instead. I have been screwing around with those stupid mushroom anchors long enough, any amount a wind and they just seem to slide. So I welded up some pipe, welded on some 1/4”x2” barbs, filled the sucker with lead and welded it closed. Common river anchor style, only thing I bought was 5’ of chain and some plasti-dip. Had the rest on hand

Post by: Stein on May 21, 2019, 10:44:59 AM: Galvanizing paint or whatever it is in the spray can works great. I used it on my DIY crab pot puller and it hasn't rusted yet.
