All these bucks are alive and will be around next year unless they winter kill or something else. What one would you hunt? I saw two of the three last year.
Buck 1
Wide buck

Buck 2
Heavy and tall

Buck 3
3x3x2

Option D - any of them. The first one catches my eye for some reason, always liked wide deer.
-
3. I love freaks

Number 2. Easy choice.
-
I would have to see what a year of growth has done but would be ok with any. First one that gave me a good shot would get killed.
-
3 for me!
-
3, then 1, then 2
Freak, dandy, meat
-
Looks like 2 might have an extra year on the other two. Hard to say because bucks always look bigger from behind
-
Tough decision - those are all nice Whiteys - and they probably taste better than the Mulies over there
-
I will probably catch flak for this but , none of them . White tails dont really interest me

One thing I learned this year, they look way bigger from behind!
I'd take option 3 but all 3 are sweet bucks
-
If I was on a 10 day hunt none of those are an option until day 9.
-
#2 ... but that's easy to say from a keyboard. If on stand and any showed up ... I'm easily tempted.
-
3, 1, then 2
-
I'm partial to #1. Just like that rack. At the same time I like the freak, totally unique.
-
First choice 3x3x2.
Second #1 wide
-
Leave number 3 be, maybe hell survive a couple more years and turn into something really special
-
Number 2. Easy choice.
:yeah:
-
All nice bucks! But only 3 is a wall hanger imo. Very unique
-
whichever one I saw first
-
#3 if any at all
-
I would shoot 3 I would try and pass 1 and 2 but have an itchy trigger finger so who knows :chuckle:
-
All are great but I'd shoot #1 if they were all standing side by side.
-
3 for sure - unique is cool. But i am not a fan of passing on anything you would be satisfied with if it were the last day of the season.
-
#3 for me, then #2. I like trashy bucks and tall/thick bucks. Which ever one of those two presented a opportunity, I'd put one down. Best of luck on either one you choose.
-
#3. You can shoot "regular" bucks any time, Very likely the only 2 main beams buck you will ever see.
-
Whichever one makes you happy. All are nice but none are great. A year of growth might pleasantly surprise you though...

:yeah:
I’ve never hunted Montana but I wouldn’t shoot a buck in Montana that I could shoot in Washington on a general tag. Your tag your choice. Who cares what other people think.
-
I wouldn't shoot any of them until they got a little age on them, but thats just me. As mentioned, its your tag so enjoy.

Freak, dandy, meat
:yeah:
Nontypical always gets first vote for me.

I would pass on them. Ive been to Montana hunting deer now for 11 years. Three of the years I came home with nothing. Passed on many deer every day. I would rather hunt the entire week then to shoot something I would not be happy with. I passed on a bunch of whitey's before shooting this Pig towards the end of the hunt! But a trophy is in the eye of the beholder. I have shot bucks smaller then that or equal to the deer pictured my first few years in Montana. I just love the hunt and don't want it to end to soon. I can hunt an entire week in Montana and shoot nothing and come home completely satisfied. I cant say that this was always the truth with me when I was younger. I guess age does funny things to ya!!!
-
#3 for me too, I like a trashy rack!
-
1 and 2 are the same deer?
-
1 and 2 definitely same deer ppl haha, funny how some chose either 1 or 2 over the other
-
No wonder you saw '2 of 3' ;)
-
:sry: stand corrected I'm wrong.. They are not the same deer... Cell phones

Different deer. G3 on the right antler are different Length and different location on main beam.

I know what you mean, muleys are the same for me, no interest at all. Just can't get excited about them.
-
They'll beef up a little by next year but I think the wide one probably scores the best and he'll probably barely crack 110". If I were going to pay to hunt Montana I'd have a hard time pulling the trigger on any of them unless it was the last 5 minutes of the last day.
-
Def. Number 3!
-
Can't really tell which one has the biggest hindquarters from the pics - but that one.
-
3 and 1 are equal first then 2
-
Something about buck 2 being big and heavy got my attention, would be interesting to hunt that beast. :hunter:
-
Honestly, the first one that gave me a shot! :dunno:
