As much as I like following along with all of you that have drawn " quality or bull tags" I would like to see some of the elk (bulls and cows) that were shot on general tags. The majority of the threads I read are about the guy who drew peaches ridge or clockum etc: but I know there are quality Elk being killed with general tags, me myself have never drawn either quantity or bull, but have killed some pretty nice elk. So let's see all those general tag elk. Maybe put some hope back in hunting season. When quality is measured by antler size then the quality was lost before the hunt.

No hope for quality general bull for me. Had to wait for a 6 x 7 to get out of the way so I could shoot this guy. If the meat wasn’t so good and they weren’t so close to home I would not even waste my time on these spike only areas

Blue mountain monster ! A rare unicorn from the forest

Nice job guys, all quality animals. Keep them coming

Some elk. The spike was shot at 6 inches away from a ground blind.

Good meat, yes. Quality is in the eye of the beholder. Any elk is a good elk for table fare. It's sad imo that we here in WA are calling "quality" elk in WA spikes and cows. Way to go for all of the wet siders killing good bulls, not an easy task. But with our game laws... any elk is a quality elk now days in WA

That first bull is pretty darn cool, but all are very nice. Some people think quality is about the animal, I was raised quality is in the hunt

 Nice work fellas... still working on my first elk. For some reason I just can’t get it together like I can with deer. Hopefully this year

Last seasons late archery on East side. Solo hunt. One of my favorites. Packed it out over two days.
-
Thanks X-force, shot it 4 miles from the trailhead in sideways rain and sleet, packed the head, backstraps and tenderloins out in my game bag of my vest, my buddy met me at camp, ran back out, got half of him each and packed back out. Don't know if I want to try the half of an elk thing again. :chuckle:
