Heading over Thursday til end of season, I have a few spots scouted out, drew the tag in 2014 and hunted too early and did not get one. Any input/spots/advise I’ll take! Been fortunate to harvest several fall bears but yet to shoot one in the spring, fingers crossed. Thx for any input 🤗

Be patient, and be ready! The boars should be pushing the sows around and they probably wont give you much time to shoot. If your watching a good area, make sure you have a good gun rest in a couple different locations. Get a therma cell if the bugs are bad, Good luck!

Well you're definitely not too early now :chuckle:
Yeah bugs are rough anywhere there is anything green which is 99.99% of 117. Good luck with your trip and don't waste a single minute of the evenings without having eyes on open slopes, clearcuts, grassy areas etc. A large unit with a lot of bears but not really one that is ideal for spot and stalk bear hunting. Don't hunt areas without sign because these bears are moving and eating and leaving obvious sign unlike a month ago.

Get a bear call from RRCALLS. They work great. Just be patient because the bears are really quiet and sneaky.
