Jorden Peterson and his daughter that has chronic problems both do. Both have been on the Joe Rogan podcast/YouTube . Very interesting.

I would only do it if I had some kind of chronic inflammation problem.

how do you know if you don't have chronic inflammation?

I know I have a good deal of it, back been hurting non-stop in the lumbar region for a long time now, slowing me down.
I was working on equipment all day today and now I can't sleep, back all stove up and stiff.

gotta be inflammation.

I tried it a couple of months ago.  I have done LC and keto before, so it wasn't a huge stretch and I wanted to see what happened.  I started feeling bad after a couple days and it got worse every day.  I bailed after about a week.  Maybe I would have turned the corner, but I didn't stick around to find out.

It was also hard for me to get enough calories in, I could only eat so much meat in a day without being beyond full.

It can’t be sustainable. I see bowel movement issues and lack of vitamins overall.

Eskimos did it for about 4,000 years.  There is a bunch of info out there, meat is vitamin dense, especially if you get quality stuff.

No personal experience but the things with "diets" is that they're usually temporary. Meaning people follow them until they either give up or reach their goals, then they fall back into their old habits and the weight comes back. If you want to be in shape, healthy, and happy then you need to develop eating habits that get you to where you want to be and that you can sustain/ keep for the rest of your life. :twocents:

Chronic inflammation symptoms are like Krones disease, celiac, diabetes, Raynauds,   premature arthritis and others.

A bad back doesnt really qualify keto, Atkins, Paleo, and others  accomplish the same thing. Greatly reduced carbohydrates in quantities and processing.

KF have you tried going to only drinking water and lots of it? I ask because being in construction since my teens I always had sore lower back and recently had a year of  shoulder pain and 75% loss of strength in it, changed to only water for liquids in December'ish and now no back pain, no shoulder pain and 100% stregth regained. Overall body feels 100x better. Just a thought. I did change my diet as well but only after getting control of what I was drinking.

They also have a life expectancy about 12 years shorter than average.

You packed a 2-gallon jug of Cherry Koolaid around for 16 years, while you ate twinkies and Cheetos.  What did you expect?

Lots of studies done on this and it is not healthy or sustainable. I have talked to a few that have tried it and they felt like horse poo.

In Canada, a study showed that was primarily due to smoking rates among women and premature self inflicted deaths among males.

Lots of diets work, just not the current western one.  It wasn’t for me, but some do well on it.

The Lewis and Clark party ate something like 12 pounds of meat a day per person.

That’s sailors, eskimos didn’t get much, if any scurvy.  It’s probably good for weight loss though!

Whale, seal, caribou all have vitamin c.

Six pack abs and a race horse stamina.  It’s science.
