I know other's will have stacks of bone, but here's the content's of my "bone box"
-
Come on, some of you guys gotta have something to throw up??
-
I won't dig em out of boxes but I do usually take a few pictures each month during the spring. Here are a few months worth from Feb and March of 07.
-
I haven't been out too much in the past couple years, but here's a few of what I have (the spike is actually just my smalles blacktail I've ever shot :) ). The one on the bottom right is a Muley.

Heres a days worth last year(not this spring). As you can imagine, the pile is a little big. NO bearman, you can't make calls out of them.

Holy smokes. Are there any types of places you seem to find more Doug, I/E leeward slopes, thick timber, etc.?
-
Dman, I've always been told South facing slopes (they are the warmest), and then the top 2/3 of the hillside. The one Muley I found was on a south facing slope on the very top of the ridge..
-
me and shank found these this spring...

my 2 on the right are the only 2 sheds i posess. the other sheds i've found are smaller whitetails and they all reside in my buddy's boy's bedroom. he gets a lot more out of those than i will.
one of these day s i'd like to seriously look for some elk sheds and muley sheds, and i really don't know how much turkey hunting will egt done this year.
-
Found this match set last year.
-
i have spent a fair amount of time in the woods the last couple of years. usually looking at the ground(how i get lost usually) and i have never seen any >:( and you guys find piles. oh well. gives me something to look forward to i guess :dunno:
-
but I actually kicked one last year...... It's a good thing I know what an antler sounds like
I have done that myself..the shed was under a fern and when I kicked/stepped on it, I thought "wow, that sounded different".. I also stepped one a small deer shed one day, then found it the next day. It was in a bottleneck where a trail and downed tree intersect.
-
I know of a certain moose shed that almost got a truck parked on top of it.
:bash: :bash: :bash:
-
I have accidently rolled a rock down a hill and heard it hit an antler and i went down there and sure enough it was a shed
-
I found 27 muley sheds about four years ago during the rifle hunt. Gamey found me resting on the side of the road (He was lost), and gave me a ride back to camp with 8 tied to my pack.
Here is a funny pic from last Turkey season with my son. He is getting the bug for sheds.
-
since i live on the west side i dont find much sheds. but deer hunting this year in the east we found a real nice forked horn skull, 4 point shed, and a 2 point shed. we usually find some stuff up there, i may find a few cool things in colville here soon too

Here are some sheds I found this year...well..the elk ones are. The deer one is an old find. I tripped over the matching set of 5 points...they were just a few feet from each other.
-
Gotta love moose antlers.

I don't believe in shooting spikes.

yeah it's on here somewhere, a friend of mine painted it for me so I just thought I would share it with all of you, pretty nice don't you think. :chuckle:
As for the broken horn, it is actually a spike with a piece of velvet hanging off the longer one, and the other is broke off about 4 inches from the base that is why I thought it was a 2 point. (meat hunt) :chuckle:
