Title: Today!
Post by: CoryTDF on March 30, 2009, 08:42:55 PM: Took my dog out for a walk in the hills today. We went about a mile when i found that skull. I left it of course. It wasn't until i was walking back to the truck before i found any sheds. I spotted the 4 pt. shed about twenty yards away when i turned to go get it, my dog saw it too and i guess he figured that i had walked enough, so he went and got it for me. I got a picture of him on the retrieve and a good one of him holding it before i took it from him. Excited in my dog's interest in that shed we again set out for the truck. I was hoping he was going to start to understand the idea and start bringing sheds out of the brush to me. This was of course only a dream as i later watched him walk right over the top of the small 3pt.. I took the picture and then had him fetch the horn. All in all it was a good day for me and the dog.

Yes that was velvet on the skull. It must have died last summer.

that's an awesome pic. Better enter it. They just announced the winner of the March contest, so I'll bet the April Contest thread is up.
