Title: East Cape Safaris (pics posted)
Post by: elkaholic123 on June 29, 2019, 02:09:30 PM
The wife and I are on our way to Somerset East, staying with East Cape Safaris for 12 days, 5 days of hunting for me and 6 days of sightseeing. Long flight but should be a fun trip. We are celebrating our 30th Anniversary.

Nice animals!

Love the "working tusk" on the warthog.  As I understand it, Warthogs are right or left tusked in that they favor one or the other to dig/work/fight/scratch, etc.  clearly yours had a favorite!

Great looking critters! Quite the way to celebrate an anniversary. What cool touristy things did you see or do apart from the hunting?

Those springbuck are gorgeous little critters. I think the area of white hair running up their spine is called 'fronk,' when my brother shot his springbuck this hair was standing on end and had a really strong but good odor to it. Did you happen to see or smell that? Yeah, I'm the weird guy running around smelling dead animals. :o
