I think it is a far price...what do you think?

:yike: Why would you buy a mount and put it on your wall if you didn't shoot it. :dunno: But some *censored* will probably buy it!
-
What would you tell everyone when they asked where you got him from. (EBAY)
-
I was offered money for a mulie I shot while living in Idaho. Some of these guys just come up and party. And want to take something back. Its beyond me why......maybe have the wife think they were hunting instead of playing with the secretaries :dunno:
-
this has never made any sense to me
-
Did you check out his ebay (http://stores.ebay.com/OriginalCowgirlDesigns-n-Taxidermy) store? He is also selling sheds on there.........
-
A beautiful mount of an incredible buck. I know if it was mine I would never sell it. It will probally sell at that price though. It would be a great addition to anyones collection of North American big game. I know a serious hunter that has bought mounts before.... I have never understood it either. I guess they have plenty of dough and just like lookin at a world class animal even if they didn't take it.
-
The problem is no braggin rights, you didn't even have to work to get it.
-
Actually my father is an art dealer and taxidermy can be highly collectible. He see's it at estate sales and art auctions quite often..... I told him if he see's any owls I want them ;) he's bought and sold a few over the years.... the moose he hauled home from an auction in the alfa romeo was pretty funny
One of his friends (my god father) has an entire warehouse of taxidermy he has collected elephants lions and tigers and bears oh my :chuckle: with the down turn in the economy prices have dropped immensely a recent auction had a bunch of bears and most sold for less than 1000.

It would be cool to have an elaphant
-
This kind of sucks if you think about it.
Selling trophies for big bucks like this guy is going to give other people the idea to go out and shoot their own trophy buck. Everyone will be looking for the trophy rack which could ruin the hunt for the real hunters. Not to mention poaching. Hunting is going to become the next way to easy money.
-
i can think of better ways to spend 12 grand. :dunno:
-
Gay-dar is going off.... :yike:
-
that mount has been for sale on there before for the same price....months ago. i'm assuming it will not sell again for that price.
some people will buy that stuff as a piece of art or for decoration at a lodge or something like that.
-
Nice buck but come on, 12 grand! You've got to be kiddin' me. I'd buy a nice rack if it was cheap enough. I just appreciate good taxadermy and impressive animals. Like art I guess. It would never be as near and dear as the bucks I've personally harvested though, but better than a velvet Elvis on the wall.
-
Way too much money for my taste. I could but lots of guns and go on many hunts for that kind of money.
-
prove that is a bt. how much is that worth if you call it a muley? alot less i am sure.
-
yeah, they have to be marketing this hoping it gets bought by a business or an art collector. Think of the sweet, guided hunt you could have for 12K...
-
The taxidermist that I take my stuff to, about 10 years ago, he had a full set, life size mounts of all 9 of Santa's deer. All muleys with Rudolph and Santa's sled. He sold it to Bass Pro Shops somewhere in the Carolina's for $12,000.00. That was 1999. They sent a truck up here and hauled it home. That 12k was for quit a bit more for the money than this mount. They got 9 deer and a sled. As I recall they were all 4x4's or better.

THEY KILLED SANTA AND STUFFED HIM!!!!!!!!! :'(
-
As I remember, Santa was AWOL. I saw the sled and deer many times, but oddly no Santa................ :dunno:
-

Or a sporting goods store ;)
-
I still say somebody is gonna buy that and make up some amazing hunting story about how they killed that and have it hanging in their living room so that they can be asked and they begin to tell the story of this amazing monster and how they ahrvested him :twocents:
-
THEY KILLED SANTA AND STUFFED HIM!!!!!!!!! :'(
Yes, but no one asked for seconds.

...Oh wait...Never mind... :dunno:

Wildlife pimps :puke:

I know people who own a log cabin, but don't hunt, so they bought a bunch of mounts off ebay to put in it, those are the type of people who buy it...
-
I spoke with the manager of Cabelas in Arizona and they told me they spent close to 2mill. on the mounts for that store :yike:

At the unveiling ceremony when Roy Roger's horse Trigger was stuffed. Somebody asked Roy what he wanted to have happen to him when he died. He said just go ahead put me up there on Trigger, I guess.
Dale said don't be getting any idea's about me.
I have a stuffed chicken.

nice buck but come on 12k pays for a ton of hunting trips and memories :dunno:
