:yeah: 275 grain bloodlines for me.

Have had great results with Barnes 290 tez, this year I switched to the tmz. The only reason I switched was I needed bullets and the tmz’s were available. They weren’t much harder to load and very slightly better BC so I just stayed with them.

personally I use one form of a Lehigh product or another...
The Lehigh/Knight Bloodline is a great bullet, either the 300 or the 275 grain models. The terminal performance these bullets offer is outstanding.
This is the .458x300 CF

The Lehigh 275 is virtually the same except a little shorter.
This a computed Ballistic sheet for the two bullets to show comparison

Lehigh is also now offering a .452x265 CF copper bullet that is also a great bullet.

I’m going back to a recurve for elk but I’m gonna Muzzy hunt for deer. Too many things to break in those compounds...

I love the Bloodline 275 grain. I’ve taken five elk and one deer all single shots and very little tracking.
-
Depends on the gun
600gr .50 White conical
375gr ? Barnes .52 Knight
350gr Bloodline .52 Knight
I have some silver sabots for the .52 and will find a .458 chunk of lead that shoots.
460 gr .451 White

Good rifle.
My elk load: Barnes TMZ290, 110gr 777 3F, Musket cap. I use the same for deer, but elk is my primary game animal

I ended up finding the bloodlines in 275 grain on sale for 20$. I got 777 50/50 pellets and a 209 conversion kit for my bighorn. I’m only hunting deer here in Washington with it so I feel like it should be good.
