I've seen this game on other sites and it's always fun. You post a picture of the subject requested and if you post the picture you get to select the next subject. So I say what will go after me after I post a picture...
First up is a bloody nosed ram.
AFTER ME is a chukur, dead or alive...
-
I think Bone is the only one with a pic of a Chucker?
-
This was many years ago while at WSU but here are several dead chuker.
I want to see a 190+ muley mount.

Looks like a good ole fashion lynching. :chuckle:

I've always thought it was easier to just shoot them, but this is a new form of hunting. Is lethal injection next? :chuckle:
-
SOME GREAT PHOTOS AND MEMORIES. CONGRATS TO YOU ALL
-
Great pictures!
-
Ok, who has a badger? Why do I not have a badger? :bash:

Someone has got one I remember seeing it!

I've got one, but I don't have my jump drive with me.
-
Richocet has put up pics of them in the past!!!
-
Yeah, that bear is hung.
I have always wanted to photoshop the rope out of the pic to make it look like the bear is just standing next to us. My oldest son shot that bore when he was 13, with a Winchester Big Bore model 94 .375 Win. The bear chased him after being shot through the lungs until it expired.
-

Isn't Photoshop a wonderful tool :chuckle:
:dunno: no photo shop on mine, I was turkey hunting over in trout lake and kept hearing this hound running in circles so I got in the car and went looking for him. He was running from a coyote down the road, and he would turn and make a stand then come up the road closer the coyote right on his trail. I got several pictures then I started the car and drove towards them. They both jumped off the road and I stopped just past the coyote and got my pistol out. The yote stepped back out and I got a shot at him...but missed! :'( :'(
-
Any chance of getting this thread going again? :dunno:
-
I sure hope that it doesn't have to wait until the tamarracks start turning yellow in October
-
I've got one buyt can't post it now. But I'll rekindle it if no one gets to it before I am off work.
-
I'll check when I get home. I think I have one, but I got to beat bone to the punch...
-
I don't really have one. I have a couple with yellow blurred out spots/trees in the background but I can't tell what they are. :(
-
How about a Griz catching a salmon while in a river.
-
What happened to the tamarracks? :dunno:

Nobody had one and others wanted the thread to continue.

Next topic Snipe... Remember all, you post a picture of the request and then you get to name the next topic. The failure to name the next topic has stalled this thread many times... I guess we can give people a short time to name the topic and then somebody can step up and do it.

Since it has been more than 24 hours I'd like to make a request for a rattlesnake.

how about a pheasant
-
How about a bass from this year.
-
I think Walt rigged this request, so that I would post the picture of the small mouth he caught this morning at Roosevelt with all royalties owed to the professional guide service and photographer.
-
How about a picture of a covey of quail?
-
Not at all. I should have requested a big bass. It was all I could think of at the time.

How about a an Avocet.....
How's three of 'em?
Now, let's see someone in a canoe with a bass or trout.
-
Great shot Tom. I figured you would have some Avocet pics.
-
Here is one while I was in my kayak on Sammamish... (oops...I see you said canoe, does this count?)
Now lets see a pic of a live bobcat in the snow.
-
You just had to say live didnt you. Dang it
-
The light on that Smallie is quite nice. I can't wait till this floodwater in the Okanogan goes down so I can get the canoe out and float for Smallies.
Here's your Bobcat in snow pic. Excuse the poor quality. It was from two years ago when all I had was a point and shoot camera. Didn't know how to take a good pic then. But at least I got one of him before he ran off. Only seen three in my lifetime. One back in Pennsylvania, this one out here, and one in Montana last December.
I don't know how to go about getting good photos of them. I could try calling, but I realize I can't manipulate what direction the 'cat would approach from, and I'm afraid that whatever direction he would choose would have some grass and brush in the way. Anyone have any ideas? They're largely nocturnal, which also makes it quite a difficult prospect. Yet some folks do manage to get great Bobcat pics.
Well, for what it's worth, here's the pic. Now Let's see any member of the weasel family native to North America - a Weasel, a Badger, a Pine Marten, a Skunk, a Mink, an Otter, a Wolverine, or a Fisher. Hope I'm not forgetting any. Oh, yeah - a Black Footed Ferret. No captivity shots.
-
i wanna see a fisher
-
Otter on Sammamish from last year.
;)
Now, lets see....a grossbeak
-
Ok...instead of a gross beak...
how bout a 3 pt or higher buck, making a rub? (that should be easy enough)

-

Sorry can't help with the Grosbeak. Gimme another year - should have one by then.
Here's the Buck makin' a rub. Now let's see a live, non-captive gamebird in the snow . . . a chukar, pheasant, hun, turkey, quail, dove, or a grouse.

-
Lets see a pine martin!!!
Funny timing with you requesting this. I saw my first one ever - this morning! No chance for a pic, but it was awesome to see something that I always thought I'd never see in my lifetime. If someone actually has a pic of a live one that they took in the wild, I'll be very, very impressed.
-
I've had the good fortune of running into quite a few pine martens while out hiking. A few years ago I had one run right through my camp. Got a picture but it had run quite a ways by then. Had one follow me for quite a while up a steep rocky slope... I have got pictures several times, but none of them are very good. I'm not a home right now so this picture will have to do. Taken in 2006 next to an alpine lakeshore. Heavily cropped and in poor light so it's not the best.

How about a pic with any harvested animal AND an International Scout in the frame? :)
Can't help with the pic, but I have a story about a harvested animal and a Scout.
A '76 Scout II was my high school vehicle. I trapped furbearers for some spending money. Checked my traps before school one morning and caught a nice raccoon. So I bopped him on the head with my walking stick (a stick/club selected for that purpose) and tossed him in a burlap sack. After checking the rest of the traps, I returned to my Scout and tossed the sack in the back. After only a 5 minute drive I was back home. I didn't want a 'coon carcass in the Scout all day while I was at school, so I decided to take it out and hang it in the cool garage until after school when I would have time to skin it. So I opened the back, reached for the sack, and was greeted with an evil hiss! The dang thing was alive - and fully conscious! I never moved so fast. Got out of his reach just before he woulda bitten my hand. Darn good thing I never bothered to take the trap off his foot, as the trap along with the attached chain and stake got tangled in the sack, and kept him from being able to leap at me. I ran for my dad, and together we managed to get him clear of the vehicle and bop him on the head. Believe me, we bopped him good and proper this time. I never trusted a 'dead' animal after that.
Wish I had pics of that Scout, but that was way back before digital, and the pics are all packed away in some box somewhere.
-
I have the perfect pic. Trying to find it....

Will a trail cam of 2 cubs work? I have that. We can get this thread rolling again.

How bout...a pic of your son or daughter with their first big game kill....should be easy enough.
-
Ok..since the "first of son or daughters big game kill" has post poned this thread...lets try..
A coyote killing/hunting something
OR
A moutain goat in the snow
-
I didn't see the last post til this morning. Been out of town. Here's my boy with his first buck. 2008 season, age 9.
Now, in honor of Phool finding his moose's sheds, lets see a big, Washington bull moose on the hoof...

Now, in honor of Phool finding his moose's sheds, lets see a big, Washington bull moose on the hoof...
Here's one taken earlier this month just a half hour from home. His antlers aren't much to speak of now, but he's gonna grow a nice rack, as it was already starting to branch off when I took these photos, and the other moose I had seen that same week just had puny little velvety blobs pokin' thru their scalps. Now if only he'd stay in the area, I may be able to find some real nice sheds next spring.
Now let's see a young kid showing off a dead rattlesnake!
-
I hope this qualifies as a "kid". He was 17.
How 'bout a black bear standing upright...
-
How 'bout a black bear standing upright...
Here's one from a year ago, right here in Okanogan County about a half hour from Omak.
Now, let's see any big game animal breeding - a pic showing the male right up on top of the female. Sheep, Moose, Deer, Bear, Goat, or Elk
-
Here you go, Tom. I even caught him with all four feet off the ground.
(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi17.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fb60%2Frenegade54%2FDSC_4738w.jpg&hash=315f111f18047a93815065f2c40df7f6df8dd68f)
How about a skunk pic?
-
I'm not sure I have a skunk picture... :'(
-
I passed a dead one on the road this morning. If he is still there I'll take a picture on the way home.
-
Now he's getting into it. Ride em cowboy.

Is that the true meaning of "Horn Porn" ??
-
Is that the true meaning of "Horn Porn" ??
Technically, I think it's "Antler Porn". Here's "Horn Porn". Pope will like this. I call this shot "Sumac Love".
I'm getting off the subject here - we still need a skunk pic.
-
dead skunk
How about a full body shot of an oversized sturgeon next to the boat.
-
This isn't a monster but it was about 6'-6" and the kid got it up to the boat by himself. I have a pic somewhere with a 8'+ but I couldn't find it.
Funny thing I'm leaving in an hour for an all weekend sturgeon trip in Illwaco. :IBCOOL:

Path you better go out and take some pics then!! :chuckle:
I tried this weekend. PathfinderJR and I went up in the blues for a load of firewood, and I figured I would take some scenery pictures of Dayton and Wenaha for a couple of the Elk Hunting threads that were asking for them. Got up there, posed JR in front of the meanest looking canyon I could find (that's the only thing I can think of to keep people from putting in for these tags... :chuckle: ), pulled out the camera, and... NO MEMORY CARD :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:
And the worst part is that I had no one to blame but myself. I was the one who left it in the computer... >:(
