Just curious if any of you Oregon guys are hearing much out there on your hunts? I saw one bull where the guy said he called it in with some cow calling, a few small bugles and some raking.
I’m headed out next week for the WA opener and can’t wait!

I heard 2 bugles last weekend here on the westside, and yesterday I seen a clear-cut that had trees all torn up from a bull

I glassed up a bull yesterday in Washington, he ripped off 4 bugles and thrashed on some trees for a bit. He also was covered in mud.

Not Oregon but last weekend in Idaho they were bugling all darn day. Bulls are still solitary but definitely establishing who is who. This weekend should offer up some action. Give em hell boys!

Heard a bull west side glunking at about noon 2 weeks ago! At about 6200 feet.

Man! I can’t wait to get out there!

Oregon (east side) was quiet for the opener. Saw bunch of cows but no bulls. Killed a decent 5 pt a few years ago on the opener that came into a couple of cow calls and a bugle. He came in quiet just glunking.

Buddy in Eastern Oregon saw tons of rubs and ground all tore up...no elk standing at them. I'm heading down to Oregon this weekend, give you an update next week. I did see 4 bulls sparring pretty good mid last week. Dust was flying and the bigger one of the 4 kept getting mildly challenged by the others. He stood his ground and finally just layed down and raked the ground while laying down. Getting fired up.

I heard that if I drew or got the 2nd chance multi season elk tag, I'd be elk hunting next month. That's all I heard. I'm a little depressed. :'(
