I bought a Bowtech RPM 360 a few years ago. I have been dealing with rotator cuff issues since Nov 2016. Since I'm recovering well from my 2nd surgery, I went out to check my bow and start to get a feel for it again. I pulled it of the bow rack and something didn't look right. Both of my cams are bent pretty bad and the axels appear to be bent. I have been shooting a bow for almost 30years and have never seen anything like this. Could sitting in a bow rack for a couple years cause this? I am meticulous at taking care of my equipment and the bow has never been mishandled. I am beyond frustrated at this point. I wasn't planning on hunting with it this year, but that's not the point.

Do you have kids that could have accidentally screwed it up and just put it back hoping to get away with it? Sounds like some crap i would have tried to pull.
-
I have 2 boys, but neither of them are into archery. They rifle hunt and are pretty trustworthy. I don't think they would try to pull anything over like this, but I'm not stupid either. Boys will be boys. My bow rack isn't easy to get to either.
-
It’s a bowtech enough said. Their customer service sucks too.
-
my money is on someone dry fired it and didnt tell you.
-
Id bet dry fire as well. My friend had his dry fired back in college by a drunk roommate. It bent the hell out of the cams and that bow never was right after that incident

Even good boys are likely to have stupid friends over ...

My wife says if you have 1 boy you have 1 brain, 2 boys 1/2 a brain, 3 or more no brains :chuckle:
and it does ring true sometimes, i love when i come in the room or out the door to the outside and they all get quiet...

youre in enumclaw? take it into rock creek...denton might have some spare parts to fix you up or be able to figure something out for you.

This. I used to work with teenage boys. They share a single brain regardless of their numbers. Even the best of them eff up! Put that bow on the dining table at dinner and just eat in silence. I bet someone squeals :chuckle:

Dry fired. Kids suck.
-
Could just be cam lean from a cable that is either stretching or internally severed. Take it to your local pro shop.

What’s your draw length? Ive got a Helium you could borrow if your in a pinch. Live in Enumclaw also.
-
Or a Bowtech Destroyer.....
-
Are the cams bent or just tilting? If they are tilting and not bent like you said then yes your cables do stretch over time and could need some twists or replaced especially if it was ever in a high temperature environment.
-
I will be muzzle loader hunting this year, thanks for the offer. The cams and axles are bent, not leaning. It looks like it has been dry fired. The arrows I shoot are 420 grains so this shouldn't be a problem of shooting too light of an arrow either.

Bowtech took good care of me when my limbs delaminated.
-
Let’s not blame the kids . It could just be the bow(tech)

Finally got around to taking it in to Denton at Rock Creek Archery. He tried to get Bowtech to work with him, but they said it looked like a partial dry fire. Denton was great and worked with me on the price. The bow seems to be shooting good at this time. Needless to say, I'm a little frustrated with Bowtech and how they handle customer service. I would highly recommend Denton to anyone!

Bow techs customer service is crappy, I know from personal experience. Something you need to consider when buying a bow.

We all know.
Hope you got your bow sorted.

Can you post a pic of the bow?

The bow has been repaired, I don't have any pictures of the bent cams.

I wouldn’t expect any bow company to fix your bow on a suspected dry fire. Pre mature string wear, limb splits, bad bearings. Those kind of things sure.

:yeah: Would you expect Ford to warranty a gas engine after running diesel through it? Same thing.
