Title: Battered cameras

Hear many stories of stolen, but wondering  how many folks have had a camera bashed to pieces or beat up by someone?

Only by bears that tore my camera off the trees and wanted to play with it.

Kind of surprised to not hear of someone having their cam bashed in with a log or rock or shot up.  :dunno:

All ours are on private property, had cards taken but no cams damaged by people. Several over the years abused by bears. This last spring we had two molested by bear(s) tore them both off the trees and came back daily for a week or so and chewed and batted them around. No idea why assume we left some sort of scent on them the bear thought was good or bad. Lesson learned!

I just picked up the piece last weekend left after a bear opened, remove everything inside and chewed it up. I had a slave flash inside that wasn't too badly chewed. I hope he took a good jolt.

I recently had a wood pecker do one in! I hung it on "his tree" a few feet  from his entrance.  He had moved in between seasons it's a tree I have hung on for years with a proven trail guess I'll change directions so he doesn't do it again
