Any of the cartridges based on the .308 Winchester case are short action rounds including 243 win, 260 rem, 7mm-08 rem, and 308 win.

Other short actions include 250 and 300 Savage, 22-250, 223, etc.

It is true that the above rounds can be chambered in short actions but not a firearms makers always chamber them in short actions. Some have simply shortened the magazine in a long action. The Ruger should be a short action. Check older Savage 110s and some European actions and even some Winchesters and you will find short action cartridges in long actions.

ruger does also still consider what some people consider a long action a short and/or vice versa in the way they build their rifles. one caliber i can think of is a 257 bob. ruger calls it a long action and i think most everyone else calls it a short.
