PHOTO OF THE MONTH CONTEST November 2007
Please enter your favorite Successphoto into our photo of the month contest.
NEW FORMAT SPECIAL SUCCESS PHOTO EDITION
To celebrate the fact most seasons are coming to an end or are in full swing this month, we are going to have a special edition photo contest. It is of field SUCCESS photos. FISHING or HUNTING related. There have already been some great ones on the board. Pick your best photo and get it into the contest.
SAVE your wildlife and other photos for the next months contest. Its a good time to be out and about collecting them.
-The photo must have been taken by the entrant within the last 12 months.
- The photo must be of some sort of hunter or fishing success.
-Photo size MUST be 800x600 pixels or LESS
-2 entries per contestant are allowed per month.
-Entries must be submitted by midnite of the 27th of the current month(November) in order to qualify for that Months contest.
-Photos of Washington material will receive preference in judgeing as the winner will be posted on the front of a Washington site.
-Previous entries will not be eligible for future photo of the month contests.
-The winner of the previous months contest is not eligible for the next months contest. (October's winner cannot win in November, but can win in December.)
-Entries will be accepted or rejected as is, meaning the judges will no longer enhance, or alter images.
The photos will be evaluated by a panel of Judges made up of Boneaddict, Jackelope, Billy the Kid Rock, Huntwa, Shadowcat and Sisu. The winner (NO TIES) will be announced as soon as we come to a majority decision. We will be looking for big smiles, not necessarily big antlers. Remember what makes a good field photo!
The Winner will have their photo posted on the front page and get a free patch.

Here's one from last Memorial Day Weekend. An eventful day; I had close to a 103* fever when we left, it was freezing cold, and our boat caught on fire.

Here's my contribution.....For what it's worth.

Here's one that someone emailed to me. Not sure about any of the details other than the following:
I stalked my first Muley just yds off a field line in Eastern Washington. It was about 7:oo a.m. when I took the shot at this nice 3x3. It was a 30 yrd shot quartering away. With a perfect placement, he only went 25yds. I am super pumped at getting my first archery Mule deer.

that picture is on nwbiggame.com
i recognize it and the story.

Oh ok. You're right http://www.nwbiggame.com/fp_details.cfm?id=81

September bear hunt in the sagebrush.

In July 2007, my daughter Maddie (3.5 yrs old) packed the boat and headed for Sekiu on our first "Father/Daughter" salmon fishing trip. It's pretty rare to get a photo from this point of view while fishing from a boat. But, I got lucky, and was able to get a unique photo of her reeling up her first salmon! (Sure, it was just a little humpy on the other end of the line...but to her it was a HOG!)
This photo probably won't the contest. But, in my eyes it captures the theme of this months photo contest...."Success In The Field". Since becoming a father, my view of what makes one successfull has changed. These days it's all about getting to experience moments like this that make me feel like the most successful person alive!

gotta look tuff. lol. m-ray looks pretty happy, i would be too
I was and I still am!
I'm with Jackelope on this one I was thinking the same thing. I allways smile in horn porn they are too hard to get and I can't contain myself I'm like a little kid, In my opinion if you don't get that feeling anymore you shouldn't be doing it!
-
WHY DOES NOBODY SMILE???
Sometimes it just doesn't feel right to smile. Sometimes it might be humility or reverence. Or it might be *censored*. It's all good to me.
-
I quit smiling on about picture 25. I got sick of running back and forth to set the self timer on the digital. Thats one bad thing about hunting by yourself.
-
I'll post one of my wife. She doesn't get out with me often, so I will take advantage of it while I can... I think this king was just about a pound under 30 lbs. And no, it's not in Washington... If her Bellevue friends saw her in the photo...lol.

CONGRATULATIONS mRay on your elk submission. It has won this months popular "Field Success photo" Photo of the month contest. Being a dial-up user still, this months contest was amazing. Again, another great photo. Thanks everyone for participating. I'm sure we all enjoyed everyone's submissions.
