Hi Guys my family moved from Arizona to eastern Washington a year ago and My wife son and I want to get back into hunting because we miss the meat and the enjoyment of the hunt! We want to go Muzzleloader this year and live in Colbert Wa and was wondering if anyone could give us a general area public land where we might be able to harvest a deer or two for the freezer? Like I said be happy to put in the time because we are new but any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time

Well, you're in a great area. For deer you won't have to go far. Lots of public land in the Colville National Forest just a short drive north, and if you want to be even closer to home you could buy an access pass for Inland Empire Paper company. They have land in the Mount Spokane and Mica Peak units. Deer numbers are down right now so you might have to work to find legal deer. But at least you have no lack of land to hunt on that's close to home.
Also, some useful information here if you haven't already read it:
