Can’t post a pic, no permission. But has anyone else seen this monster bull elk, the color is amazing. From Duvall area! Archery kill
-
Come on now! This ain’t right
-
Wouldn't say it's from Duvall! But it's one hell of a bull. I know the hunter personally and he would like to keep it low key for now. And yes its black with amazing character.

It's been around Big Rock for several years. Lived a life similar to bull winkle. Great bull though.
-
I remember a long time ago another monster taken from that area, it was very impressive to say the least.
-
Nobody has permission from the hunter to post pics. I’ve been asked to delete them if they show up here and I will.

Keeping it low key? Was this harvest in the gray? Doesn't want to get in trouble with the locals or end up on the 5 O'clock news. :chuckle:

Pretty positive there’s nothing gray about it and I don’t know why you would even question it. He just doesn’t want pictures posted all over the Internet. That is all. And he is a law abiding local.
-
Didn’t know it was so secretive, you can delete the thread if you want josh.
-
It’s a big bull!
-
Yeah but is it 400 inches :peep: :sry:
-
I guess it’s who you know not what you know🤨

It’s a stud bull !!!!

It will be the new record and it is from Duvall. Monster bull. That's all I'm sayin till the hunter tells his story
-
Please delete this thread. It’s just torture for us who aren’t in the circle of trust.

Awesome bull. :yike:
-
What's the point if no one is going to share a pic.
-
I wonder what the bull was rubbing on to get his horns so black?!
-
This thread is useless!

Coolest color I’ve ever seen on an elk.
-
How do I get in the inter circle to get to see a picture of this stud?

I saw Bob's sporting good post a pic on FB of a 360 westside bull the other day. Had really red antlers. Said if the score holds it will be #6 in wa. Same bull?
-
Wow what a bull

No. Different bull.
-
Cool looking wale tails also
-
Come on man . Give permission we want to see
-
I respect the hunters right to tell his story his way. But man this is torture not seeing pictures if it's that unique. :bash:
-
This was the one posted on Bob’s page. Another dandy bull harvested by Blake Jerome.
-
Stud for sure.
-
That’s a really nice bull ! But not the one from Duval
-
Nor near the size!
-
Nope not the one but nice bull.
-
NO PICS!!! HUNTWA SAYS HARRUMPH!!!!
-
Black is an exaggeration.
Think dark milk chocolate (not dark chocolate).
Then think huge.......
Then think......Man, I'll never get a bull like that.
-
Black is not much of an exaggeration. :chuckle:
-
I'm thinking this thread is turning racist. All I've heard so far is it's soo black, and soo big, and I have yet to see a pict to be able to come to my own conclusion. :dunno: Without a picture, it's fake news :chuckle:
-
Is the hunter a HuntWA member?
-
No camo?

Why is the velvet coming off black?

4 pages and no pics... classic..i might start a thread on a monster mule deer I know of that got killed I the alpine lakes..

This is almost like a Biggie thread.

Oh yeah, huge deer! Purple antlers, the hunter doesn't want the pics up. Deep purple. It's awesome. :chuckle:
Man I wish I was cooler..... Or my friends were cooler.
-
I totally get the "I don't want a picture on the net", cause I'm the same way, I never post pictures. However, someone he knows or him has sent the picture out and it has gone completely viral :chuckle: so at this point does it really matter.......
-
No camo?
Nope. Looked like he was wearing pajamas in the photo.

I think we should all come together and stop commenting on this until the pic is out so the next time it bumps back to the top and I open it to see this picture it is actually there. This is like telling the kids about this cool new toy but only you get to see it or play with it. Unfair! How about one with just the elk and not the hunter
-
It only took two text messages and I have the picture and nobody has a clue who the shooter is. Once in a lifetime bull. You don't see them like that. WOW!

People definitely have a clue who the shooter is :chuckle:

Lots of people know the hunter, especially local people. All I know about the pictures and the bull is that I’ve been asked to make sure that they don’t end up on this forum. If someone doesn’t have permission to post a photo, I’ll honor the request of the people in the photo when they say they don’t want to be famous on the internet.

Did he look like this last year?

Been chasing after this beast last few years between Carnation and Duvall

Wow way to tell the entire internet about the valley

No, different bull.

Nope. Looked like he was wearing pajamas in the photo.
He has a lifted, enclosed blind. If I were hunting in it, I'd be wearing comfortable clothing and crocs also.
-
Biggest westside bull I’ve ever saw, locals called him Gus
-
I dunno, I would say that's possibly the same bull Gregg.
-
Been chasing after this beast last few years between Carnation and Duvall
Posts like these will make bulls like that more and more rare and hard to come by.
You must have a lot of private access in the valley. You should keep that info to yourself out of respect for the landowners that have given you impossible to get access to their private ground.
:twocents:
-
That bull is smart he knows to stay off public land. He has a private sanctuary he doesn’t leave🤷🏻♂️ That bull will die of natural causes on private lands
-

:yeah:
People poach dink blacktail bucks in peoples' front yards in Duvall. A frickin giant bull elk out there is like candy to a baby.
Some things are better left off the internet.
And by your comment about chasing that bull all over the valley, I assumed that meant you were actually hunting him in the valley on the private ground they live on.
-
We chased him aka hunted him from public land across the river tried to talk him off private lands but he won’t budge. We no longer hunt him because everyone is trying to hunt him. He is pretty well known from the locals we’ve talked too. He’s like a Hancock Bull, knows that if he leaves the private timber land he will get killed

-
Are you hunting him Josh?
-
Are you hunting him Josh?
Negative. I don't hunt elk much and never have hunted elk in the valley.
-
My internet scouting is complete. I know where I will be heading :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
The trouble is that talking about these animals gets them killed. There's only a few spots in the valley where this guy can do what he says he's doing to get this bull where he wants him. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out where he's talking about.
Same goes for the Sultan bull that got poached. Same as the giant Colockum bull in the other thread. People know he's out there. They know who to talk to to get specifics. They get hints. They get poached.
Loose lips sink ships.
I don't even know where this monster Duvall bull got killed and my good friend is in some of the photos....and that's the way it should be. Of course I'd like to know, but only to soothe my curiosity.

Rule number 1 about Bull club is you don't talk about Bull club. :chuckle:

Love that movie, well played.
-
What time of the day was this bull shot?
-
This is a great bull. Well known to the community and according to at least one resident pretty domesticated to humans.
-
:yeah: Its been fed by residents for years and is well known to the area. I'm not part of the cool kid group that has seen the pic but I have seen this bull trough the years on the hoof. The hunter was patient waited for years until the bull was at the peak of its growth before tagging it. Beautiful bull! no harm done!!! all of us would have put our tag on it even if we were using the heat pump unit on the corner of our house as the blind :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
I can personally guarantee this bull was not feed by locals and lived by no houses. The only way people would ever see this bull is if the were trespassing or owned the property surrounding the area. This bull NEVER went by road or houses. The bull was very wary of humans, if he wasn't, he would have died last year when he was much bigger. The hunter that killed this amazing animal spent the last few years watching this animals every move and hunted him hard. It couldn't have happened to a more deserving man!
-
This thread is driving me nuts. I like the idea the guy had about starting the new thread about this picture less 200+ inch buck killed in the Alpine lakes. Let’s start that one that way I can keep opening that one all day long every time it jumps back to the top hoping the picture will finally be there.
Anyways happy for the guy who got it but seriously tired of reading about it without being able to see the darn picture.
-

Does he know his secret is not and half the guys on here have seen the pic? If he’s saving it for a publication, that’s cool. When I started the thread I didn’t realize it was a secret.
-
In true Hunt-WA fashion, a thread about a bull getting killed where no pics will be posted will generate twice the amount of replies than the next successful hunter who’ll actually post photos. This place cracks me up

He's aware that the words out. He has many reasons why he wants to save it for now. But like Jackalope mentioned, nice animals should never hit the net. Especially locations! The only thing this thread will do for the hunter and the elk is poaching, trespassing, belittling the hunter and his animal, and many other negative things.
All the hunter wants is to enjoy his animal in piece with family and friends. And keep the elk he loves so much protected!
In time it will be published and everyone will have their opportunity to see it. Only a hand full of people were there for pics, the loud mouth will be figured out. I have the utmost respect for my friend for not putting all over the net. I hope the herd continues to grow and spread so many more hunters will get opportunities to harvest elk. But for now the herd needs protection and the hunter needs privacy.

Just to clarify, I'm all for sharing photos of animals. I'm not all for sharing the locations of live, vulnerable, etc. animals when it could lead to poaching or any other ill will. Someone shot a blacktail buck in someone's front yard a few years ago off of Big Rock and there was a deer running around earlier this year with an arrow sticking out of it. There's issues with poaching and I don't know what you'd call it...thrill killing or something like that out there in the valley.

Not putting it on the net is admirable but it will be published in time and everyone will have a chance to see it? Sounds like it should remain secret.
Strikes me as noble! Sorry, couldn’t help it...

You might want to my post again. I think it states pretty clear on all the many reasons why the hunter doesn't want it on the net.
-
@WSU . I might be reading your txt totally different than you meant it. Bull a bull of that caliber will go in the books. The difference between the books and the net should be evident. Books only tell the score, hunters name, date, and county.
-
It's almost funny you say the herd needs protection and to grow when the unit is managed to not have elk in it.
-
Guy kills a bull, posts it on HW and gets a couple pages of atta boys...guy apparently kills bull, pics apparently will never surface, and we are approaching 8 pages .. :o

How in the world can you personally guarantee that it wasn't fed by locals, lived by no houses and the only way anyone would see it is if they were trespassing? Were you with it every second of its life? Lol. I know it was shot on a private lease in the valley by the son of a local wealthy business owner, so was it high fenced as well or just chained up? 😂😂 Seems like a very confident guarantee 🤔 Hell of a bull any way you spin it, but I'm very curious now about your comment.
-
Why are any of those details important?
-
Oh man I e seen it. What a giant
-
My details? The fact that it was shot on a private lease isn't important per se, and by all means if you have the money then do what makes you happy, but I only brought that up when someone guaranteed this bull had never, in its life, been on another property before. High fence operations tend to guarantee the confinement of animals to one specific property which allows the owner to guarantee it won't leave that property. I am by no means making a claim that this is the case with this particular bull, I'm asking if it is. I'd like to make that distinction very clear before I get a bunch of blowback for my previous comment.

This bull was on private property last year in Duvall area. An archery hunter made a bad shot in the elk and can be seen on the trail camera picture. He didn’t have permission to hunt on this property.

Are you suggesting the guy that shot the bull this year was trespassing last year?
-
:yike:...it's getting good.
-
That's a huge assumption, and if the family has money to buy leases I just don't see the guy poaching off private. Easy to say that pic from last year could have been a hundred different people couldn't it? I have zero dog in this fight, don't know anyone or the area.

How many inches do you think the bull lost between this year and last? Man these animals are tough.

I am not suggesting that. I was agreeing with others that there are some nice elk in Duvall, but some people don’t want to mention locations due to trespassers. It seems the elk will hang in small pockets of private farm land and owners want them to stay there.

Does the scar usually stay on the animal? Like...do you think you'd still see evidence this year of a wound from last year?

I wasn't aiming that at you at all. I didn't read any accusation at all in your comment.

:yeah:
Pretty strong accusation there @Tbar. Do you have some sort of proof that this years shooting was last year's trespasser?
-
The scar would still be on there. The broad head was stuck in the bull.
-
It was stated he's been hunting this bull for years.
-
I can post a pic and ask hogslayer if it's the same archer.
-
I wouldn’t do that.
Does @hogslayer even have a pic of the archer or just a pic of the wounded bull?
-
The assumption was made from info provided by white knuckles. He said he's been hunting bull for years. I can also post the property it was killed on. I have no reason to believe there sw was any wrong doing. I apologize for the confusion. Would specifics and pictures help?

Will you post specifics and photos of your hunts?
Why is this such an issue to you? Why would you think, after all that's been said, that posting photos and specifics would help anything at all?
Why do you push and push and push?
Just stirring the pot?
-
And it begins...
The wounded bull looks like the same bull that was shot by this guy, to me. But his whale tails curl differently this year with one curling outward. He seems to have gained in size on his brow tines and thirds but from his royals back he looks the same with extra curling on the tails. Now everyone has an idea of what he looks like so no pics needed! Lol If anyone wants to argue that its a different bull then your furthering the idea that there are alot of big bulls in this particular area... :dunno:
-

Here is what hogslayer said, “an archery hunter made a bad shot..,” also said that archery didn’t have permission and was trespassing.
You Tbar then said “ he made a good shot this year” and quoted hogslayer’s post about the trespasser and the bad shot.
Am I confused? Is the “he made a good shot” guy different then the trespasser in the post you quoted? Seems like you are saying the two people are the same and that is quite the accusation.
This thread has quotes from other hunters in the area that were after these same local bulls.
You do understand there is more than one archery hunter in the valley I’m sure.
And if you are saying that the shooter this year is the trespasser from last year I would suggest taking that and your proof directly to wdfw rather than here.

This is getting out of hand! Mods, shut it down! :chuckle: :chuckle:
Every time I see a new post on this thread, I think I get to see this monster elk, but its just more of the same talk from the same internet warriors.

Thread locked. There are some very serious allegations getting made here. Forum rules say you can’t post false information.
Please pm me one of the mods if you have proof of the illegal activity that the shooter is being accused of.
