So my 13 yr old and I have this goal to see if he can slam before turning 16.. this spring he shot the merriam now we are thinking Rios this next spring then easterns...so can anyone help steer us into a few areas to try? Or at least look over on a map. We live west so Walla Walla scouting trips will be out.. thank you very much for any and all help. This would be super cool to have him get it..

Sputh of 90/Spokane the SE paet of the state is Rio country. The eastern is flung to be really really hard unless someone really wants to guve that information up. People that know where easterns are dont really want to tell anyone. Clark, Cowlitz and Thurston county hold easterns though. The reason for not giving up infor on easterns is because the population is really low. I know general areaa of easterns. Good luck though. It would be cool for him to get it

Check out the hunting access section of the WDFW. There is alot of private land in Rio country. Shot my Rio on written permission land.
