Title: Let's see those kids again
Post by: metlhead on September 21, 2019, 04:13:27 PM
This was to be the last youth hunt for mom, the daughter and I. Gotta play with the big kids now. High school sports and other distractions are also putting the hurt on our fun times out. We had a great shoot today, with a ton of opportunity. Ended up with a big diner breakfast, a two hour nap, and enough freash ducks to make a full broiler of apple wedge/bacon wrapped breast snacks. They went quick. Show us some of your proud success.

Thank you sir  Yes, this goose drew the short feather the night before. We had no dekes out for goose and didn't blow the call...classic low flying pass shot. His first bird was a teal that came with about 8 other friends who survived. The last bird taken was a single mallard drake. He normally is not a fan of pictures...but he was more than happy to have a few taken that morning, he said it was the best day of his life...it was one of mine too. A perfect day.
