Judging these pics, what do you guys think this buck would score? Tine length estimates, spread, mass etc... Spread is weak but mainbeams curl inward to make them score well and eye guards are weak but tines seem to be atleast 12"+ and pretty symmetrical. He's been coming jnto an area my cousin is hunting.

:yike:

157

I'll take a stab and say 170, lots of length! Hopefully he whacks him and can get us some accurate measurements.
-
Im probably a little high there but man thats a really nice buck
-
Nah, I guessed he would go 170+, just curious what everyone else thinks.
-
Tasty
-
He’s all of 160 plus some. Great buck. Good luck to your cousin
-
Low 150s........weak brows, average mains, average mass, low average spread, decent tine length but not great.
-
I'd put him high 150's .
-
I would guess in the 160s minimum.

Mid 150’s. Average beams, short brows and thin mass hurt him. Tine length makes him look a little better than he is. I hate whitetail! :chuckle:
-
Id say those horns break 70 inches each pretty easily. Looking at the ears, the g2 and g3s are way above average. If that bucks under 160 I give up :dunno:
-
I was thinking 160 but I’m not really good at this game.
-
Here's a similar one I killed a while back for reference. Weak eye guards, weak spread, good tine length...169 4/8 (unofficial but I'd bet the farm it's within an inch or 2)
-
150ish. A very nice buck.

:yeah:

170+ go get em’
-
I say he scores 1....as in that’s 1 buck I would not pass up.
-
I’d go around 165 on that buck. Tine length is where they get the majority of their score and that bucks got it.
-
I would guess 163”-166”. And I would take him over a 190” muley every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
-
spread means nothing on whitetails they all get a spread credit and most are 16-18" inside. Even mass is just that, unless its unreal massive they are all the near the same. Tine length, main beams and total tines is where bucks separate. That buck looks to be high 150" to low 160"s

A 150 buck
-
Wow if that is a 150s-160s buck then I have seen the god of whitetails. A few years back I was hanging out by the Methow River and saw a buck similar to that with slightly more mass, slightly longer tine length, and way more spread. We estimate the spread was at least 25 inches. Looked like Bambis dad but better.
-
I have seen some proverbial "25s" hit the ground........not a single one of them were over 21 inside, which is huge........there are some "25s" out there, I believe Ive seen one myself, but they are EXTREMELY uncommon.
-
That’s a heck of a buck!
-
Yeah I got buck fever there. 70 inch horns plus a 17 inch spread doesnt get him over 160 :brew:
-
Just measured my best rack out of curiosity. Always considered it a 150, i got it at 138

I agree its very rare but my comparison was a 16" wide four point I had taken that same year. The "river beast" as I called him looks so much wider from behind that we thought it was at least 25 inches. We could have been wrong but man was it impressive. It was very uniform with six points on each side in addition to the brow tines.
-
Guessing around 154"
-
On recount, I come up with 154” as well. The whiskey must have added an extra digit in the tens column.
-
No idea on score but thats a great looking deer hope somebody can put a tag on him

Another side view

He’s got a couple faults that keep him out of that super buck category.....
Very weak mass. Though not a big percentage of score there are 8 measurements whereas if he had even one inch each more and that wouldn’t even be that big in the mass dept.... Cowabunga!
Crappy inside spread. Unless I’m misjudging his mains, they are average . They turn in really fast, it just shorts him. Then those eyeguards. Again, 4-6 inches each yowzhers.
Its just what separates him. Great buck. I’d be thrilled spitless, but......
-
I have no experience with white tails. Would you guys guess his mains are 23-25 or not that good? What about mass? 28-30?

I think you’re right in the ball park. I really think that buck would surprise some guys what it’d end up scoring even though it’s got weak brows.

Yours has an extra point on each side and appears to have slightly more mass.
I'd go 150-160 on this one.

I have no idea what he'd score but if he isn't big enough for you I'd gladly take him :IBCOOL:
