Driving off Whidbey Island into mt vernon before last deployment, I remember seeing what seemed hundred of geese in the farm fields and in the sky. Now that i'm back, i'd like to try my hand but not really sure how the old goose hunt goes. Is there any public land to hunt geese around burllington area? Or is it somehow find the owner of a field and ask. Theres so many geese its crazy. Haven't seen them yet, as I remember they were comming winter time almost. I also see photos of peoples ducks with geese! Didn't know you'd be able to score both, I'm more of a deer hunter  Also do you have to have a layout blind to have luck and does anyone hunt solo? What I image goose hunting is sitting in a corn field with 10 other guys and popping them as they fly down in a storm haha

May want to thumb through the regs. Those will answer many of your questions. WDFW posts the spots that area available to hunt. Like anything, you need to get out and scout where those geese are at. More snows in the area than darks.
