putting them on a 2500 Diesel.
Anyone have experience with either of these tires?
What kind of tread life are you getting out of them? (what's your vehicle and towing much)

they were heavy and i could feel it, but you shouldnt notice that at all in your truck. i did love the tires though. they were amazing in the snow, and were fairly civilized for a daily driven, highway driven truck. probably the most aggressive AT/MT crossover tire you can get.

I currently have 285/75/18 Open Country A/T2s. The tires held up to a ton of abuse and I never had any issues with them but I only have 23k miles on them and they are pretty much done. That's an expensive tire for not many miles. They rode great, towed good and I got the mpg I expected. Going to the 305/70 will only increase the height by under .5", width a little more, so mileage might go down a tick but I think my gearing will be fine since I am ok with it with the current tires.

I didn't see this until now, we got caught up in the kiddo taking his first steps last night, so the evening was spent walking around the house before bath time and also after. I don't plan on making the purchase until February or March; I will talk to you before then for sure.

For what its worth...
On my 2010 4wd Colorado with 17" wheels I have Cooper Discoverer ATP....I hate them, too noisy. I've got about 32k miles on them and they should last another 20 to 25K miles...unfortunately >:( There are days when I'm going down the freeway and i want to just pull into the nearest tire place and get rid of em.
I also have a 4wd s10 that's my daily driver. Since I might be getting rid of it in the spring (its got 237,000 miles and i own too many vehicles) I didnt want to spend a lot on tires so i just recently put some Cooper Discoverer M&S snow tires on for the upcoming potential snow driving season. They were like $78/ tire I think. I love them! Quiet, ride nice and tons of grip.

Discounttiredirect.com is usually where I look first. Especially if you're getting wheels too. They mount, balance and ship for free.

Tirecrawler.com and tiresize.com are the 2 I was shopping. Cant remeber exactly who had the best price, but discount beat it.
If your going to buy new wheels, pay attention to the carry capacity on them. Its possible to sell yourself short on capacity really easy with aftermarket wheels.
