Getting ready to head down for a couple deer hunting trips. November 13-17 and 20-24. Seems that the deer population has really been affected the last couple of years. We're not seeing near the good bucks that we used to see. It also seems like the rut has ended near the middle of November. We have been seeing many more bucks rutting further North than down near the Moscow area. Anybody else having the same experience?

Been seeing some good bucks during the days I've stayed close to Moscow and haven't gone south.

Just spent 3 days there and deer were virtually non existent didn’t matter time of day or how far from the road we hiked in zero activity only managed to jump 2 and never got a good look at them. Saw tracks and other sign so I know their there just nocturnal and holding tight is my guess but frustrating I can usually find places they hold up didn’t really see much on private while traveling which seemed odd. Got into elk on almost every hike all 3 days. Heading back in a couple weeks hopefully they will be more active then good luck
