Title: Poaching in Cowiche and Rimrock?
Post by: Wazntme on October 31, 2019, 12:39:56 AM: Was talking with an old timer who owns land up in these areas and he said that a warden told him that they just busted 2 poachers that were killing 10 elk per week for a long time. I’m curious if anyone has heard anything about this or has this gentleman been cooped up in his cabin for too long and just needed to talk to someone. Thanks!

I doubt they drug their feet on such a prolific poacher unless they didn't have the evidence yet. The LE for DFW are good at their jobs. It's their former bosses that were the problem. Hopefully, that's changed.

Throw them in a pick-up and they are gone. That's about the only place left that there are any elk left. Sad :yeah:

You know I hate to say it but we wouldn't hear about for a week or two. They aren't the best source of news around Yakima.
Back to the subject hunted Cowiche area with a bunch of people and hadn't heard of this. Hope if true they catch them

Not that I have any problem with them but they put a good hurting on both the deer and elk in there. Just this passed week with rut going they was a muckleshoot up hunting deer and doing good.
