Thanks to all the forum guys who helped my son Jack take the New Washington State Record Youth Muzzy Rocky Mountain Elk.  As special shout out to Warden- Tyler Towel who helped send us in the right direction on a number of hunt units in 371.  Thanks to Kilmore and his cousin for the map intel and just giving a kid a lot of hope.  Jack was blessed with a great opportunity to hunt 7 days mostly on weekends before he finally connected on his bull.  He stalked the bedded bull with the proper wind up to about a 130 yards then called him in with a cow call to about 90 yards and dropped him.  The Bull was bugling and heading straight toward him until he stopped and presented a quartering to shot.  The 285 grain Barnes bullet did a great job.  A real nice thing about this hunt was my Dad came with us so we had three generations of Elk hunters dressing and packing the bull.

Hope you guys all have a great season and many stories to tell from 2019. Rick, Jack, and Pappa.
