Title: Any Time App Ideas.
Post by: Blacklab on November 27, 2019, 08:35:23 AM
Texas Twinkie, bacon wrapped brisket stuffed cream cheese jalapeño. Lots of versions of this kind of app. We’ve made a few but not this version, it’s on the short list🤑 What do you  have? What is on the shortlist and it doesn’t have to be a jalapeño. It could be any type of app.

I do duck poppers that are similar. Marinate duck breasts in 7 up for a day, then drain and Italian dressing for another day. Cube them up into bite sized pieces and skewer with soaked tooth pick along with jalapeno, cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. I also cook the bacon about half way through first so that it gets crisp without overcooking the duck.

Never marinated with 7up. Might have to give that try.

Someone made bacon wrapped water chestnuts drizzled in teriyaki sauce one time that were pretty good. Broil in oven, IIRC.

Another is browned sausage and Velveeta on those little pumpernickel cocktail breads. Toast the little open-faced sandwiches in oven.

Crab dip and smoked Salmon dip is a good one we do often.

My initial thought as well... I like the Meater thermometer and app....  ;)
