Let’s hear it. I said muley with that branched back tine which is rare for whitetails, but it is quite common for mule deer to grow whitetail looking 3 points of main beam. A number of people have said this buck is a whitetail.
-
he has just enough white showing on that nose to tell me he is a whitetail, but that "mule deer" left horn sure makes a guy second guess
-
Looks like it has the narrow whitetail face
-
I chose whitetail due to small ears, narrow face and eye guards. With all that said.....it could also be a Muley!!
-
Whitetail ,zoom in and look at the white edge of that big old whitetail on his ass.
-
I got this dude 3 years ago, So just to add to the confusion. Whitetail or Mulie?
-
Mulie
-
I'm wondering how many "whitetail" sheds there are in the record book that are Muley.
-
I’m going 2.5 year old mule deer.
-
Whats the answer bone?!
-
Possum nose wt

He's a whitetail. I thought he was a perfect example how antlers don't always "act" the way they should for a particular species. He was the third buck I seen in this area that had that characteristic THIS year. I filmed his Daddy or grand daddy in the same area a few years ago. He obviously got some breeding done.
-
I thought the ears gave him away :twocents:
-
The snout and his right side said whitetail his left says muley. Best 2/3

If that’s a whitetail I’m losing it lol

Dang I was wrong! Cool history and thread, thanks for sharing

Never doubted for a second that it was a Whitetail. Let's play again Bone, these are great test for positive identification.

That's a great buck Bone. Do you think that is regression or just only going to be a 3pt. frame with junk?
-
He was headed downhill. I couldn’t find him this year.
