Kind of weird season for me in Washington. The place where I saw a lot of bucks last year, I didn't even see a Whitetail. I only spent 4 days hunting Washington. I think more hunters and wolves were in my area.
Arizona Elk was a Unit 1 archery tag special draw. We watched him 4 times in 7 days. I was finally able to get close enough to take him down.
Utah hunt was the Southslope Yellowstone. Its General season but nonresidents need 0-1 points to get a tag. We hunted hard and only saw one mature mulie in 9 days. I almost closed the deal on it but decided to pass in hopes to get him on the last day of the hunt. I took this mulie on the last morning with a storm coming in. This was my first time hunting Utah. I would not recommend this unit. Absurd amount of hunters and an abundance of 1.5 year old deer with access everywhere. The three other hunters I went with shot fork horns.
I bought an Idaho deer tag hoping I would have sometime to try it out, I had never deer hunted in Idaho. I hiked along the Salmon River for a day. Spent a couple days near the Pack River and also the St. Joe. I had about 6 days total invested. I passed a couple smaller bucks and settled on this Whitetail.
I also ran into a trapper in Idaho. Good times
