Title: Oregon Preference Point Question
Post by: chukar hunter on December 30, 2019, 09:42:37 AM
I have 5 elk points - Non Resident

Brother has 2 elk points - Resident

When applying for a party application, is there any benefit to have either one of us be the party leader?  Being a 3.5 average, does Oregon round up or down?

Thx!  Planning for next year....

no benefit as points will be averaged and rounded up from .51 and up and rounded down from .50 and below

Yeah, no benefit one way or the other. Good news is that you guys aren't in no mans land points wise. There's decent options with a 3 point average.

:yeah: I have 3 and my dad has 4. It can get us some ok hunts if we apply. Another thing to remember is if you draw your second choice, you don't lose your points.
