I think thats got to be the best lion mount ive ever seen. Aside from being crazy realistic, looking like a live cat, the pose is really cool and i like the simple habitat mount. Really everything about that is perfect. If i ever call in a giant tom, im going to harrass you to tell me who did that.
-
Wow nice cat beautiful mount
-
That is really, reallllllllllllllllly nice!
-
Nice cat and Amazing job, looks really good!!!
-
Awesome lion!! And very nice taxi work!
-
Whoever the mystery taxidermist is his or her work is right up there with the best of them. Phil Soucy, Kevin Libby, Wes Good and Brian Hellmann are some of the best cat guys in the country. This ones right in there with them.
-
Correct me if I’m wrong but creating a sitting type position is a rather challenging task for a taxidermist, and then to get that face perfectly real, wow. Again, gorgeous mount.
-
Just beautiful! Definitely a piece of art work.
-
Amazing work! Hats off to your taxidermist.

Frank without his hair doo. :tung:
-
Eewww, no, put the fur on :chuckle:
-
The taxidermist Dremelled a mannequin from a photograph, then stretched the hide to fit???
Holy Cow, count me as deeply impressed. That craftsmen really deserved his 600,000 pennies.
-
love the pose
-
Congrats on a beautiful cat and a terrific mount.
Was that done by Charlie?? A former sponsor on this forum?...he had a knack for getting the face right on a cat.
Hard to imagine pulling a wet hide over that mold.

No it wasn’t Charlie. A couple years before the hunt, he was way up in the running. Then he disappeared before we could get in touch with him.

To be honest, I have no idea how he did what he did. I do know that all the claws were pulled because the feet stitch down better without them and any whisker that didn’t sit just right, it was pulled and put back in the correct spot. And yes, it was well worth it.
-
Nicest, all time favorite cat mount for me!

Outstanding. I’ve already got my cat over to the taxi I chose in Montana but haven’t yet finalized my form. I love everything about your cat. Thanks for sharing.
-
Awesome cat @Monsterbull11 very cool!!!

Everyone, I knew that I had a real diamond but I really appreciate all the amazing feedback. It was a great hunt with one old and a couple new friends and at the end, it couldn’t have turned out any better. Now on to the next adventure.
-
Which is? Hard to top that
