Correct me if I’m wrong but creating a sitting type position is a rather challenging task for a taxidermist, and then to get that face perfectly real, wow. Again, gorgeous mount.Frank without his hair doo. :tung:

Congrats on a beautiful cat and a terrific mount.No it wasn’t Charlie. A couple years before the hunt, he was way up in the running. Then he disappeared before we could get in touch with him.

The taxidermist Dremelled a mannequin from a photograph, then stretched the hide to fit???To be honest, I have no idea how he did what he did. I do know that all the claws were pulled because the feet stitch down better without them and any whisker that didn’t sit just right, it was pulled and put back in the correct spot. And yes, it was well worth it.

Whoever the mystery taxidermist is his or her work is right up there with the best of them. Phil Soucy, Kevin Libby, Wes Good and Brian Hellmann are some of the best cat guys in the country. This ones right in there with them.
travis roundy in UT does some awesome cats and so does Michael white here in WA
