Looks like a copy of California's Feinstein bill before the US congress. Still a violation of the 2nd Amendment.

Look 2/3 down the page to see “documents” link and click to see the text. Tons of gotcha moments in this bill.
I encourage all to email a polite logical message to your senators and representatives opposing this bill that violates our 2nd amendment. Even those stuck in democrat controlled areas.

This is the group that Daniel Mitchel owner of sporting systems gun shop in Vancouver started to fight 1639. Lots of good information being posted up.
If you havent been involved because I dont like XYZ group for ...... check this out. This is gonna be a Washington driven effort to push back against bad legislation. It's not going to pick sides or canidates just work the legislature.

So if the high capacity mag bill passes
Anyone grandfathered in could only use on shooting range or own property
per the Seattle times
“ If passed, people owning such magazines before the law’s effective date would be able to keep them, provided they don’t transfer or sell them. The law also spells out where remaining high-capacity magazines could be possessed, such as the owner’s land, or a licensed shooting range.
Such a ban could affect semiautomatic rifles, as well as a variety of handguns and other firearms.”
Is that the correction interpretation ?
-
These schmucks don't even answer my emails anymore , not even the generic replies . The best way to combat such unconstitutional things besides in court and or supporting organizations such as firearms policy coalition and saf is Mass non compliance .
-
The ag is a TREASONOUS PUKE AND SHOULD BE ARRESTED ALONG WITH HIS ACCOMPLICE GOV.
-
So if the high capacity mag bill passes

I just read the latest version.
They bumped it to 15. Can also take existing magazines hunting.

Totally agree with the last sentence but you know as well as I do people will chicken out and comply

That is not a win! Any infringement on our rights is a loss. That is the response they're looking for.
-
I understand your point and do not disagree
I hope it get to the courts
But when it comes to having 10 rounds or 15
I’ll take the 15
-
So its not safe to carry more than 10 or 15 rounds in the pistol ?
Which means my 17 round mags that come with the gun have to be replaced.
Ok,Ill just carry 2 or 3 mags .
Totally misguided attempt .
-

They don't care about our response.
It is both a win and a loss. Ferguson and company undoubtedly wanted 10.
10 round cap is awful for 9mm. Totally ruins it in a large handgun.
There are exemptions for existing magazines.
I don't like it but it could be a lot worse. They were trying to copy California and some rural Dems probably pushed back.
-
Better get those emails in boys

thanks we need to stay vigilant and get those 2 clowns voted out

This latest legislative session should tell anyone who is paying attention exactly what Democrats will do with unchecked power. Hopefully this will be the catalyst for folks tp get their votes in this coming November.

A small group of republicans filed a ton of amendments and were willing to argue them.
Democrats threw in the towel :P
Ferguson is calling it a filibuster but I think our Democrats know they aren't very good at arguing gun policies. They wanted a slam vote on this.

This Kitsap rep did about half of it:

Send him a thanks for defending the 2A and if you live in Kitsap be sure to support him

Do nothing and lose everything! I know a lot of hunters that do nothing because they either don't have semi automatic guns or just don't think it will make a difference. Everyone needs to stick together bow Hunters bird Hunters fisherman everyone needs to be active against gun control. You give an inch they take a mile.

Sad as it is, the system works. Not the end I am sure

It's not over yet. I just read that the Dems just dropped HB2947 mag ban and mag buy back. Looks like a ghost bill.

UPDATE: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/democratic-controlled-washington-state-legislature-fails-to-pass-two-major-gun-control-bills
-
2/3 of the state?? I never got a call to be part of the poll..
-
Honestly the repeal of preemption is a pretty scary one too. They will turn us into California in less than a decade...
-
They meant the deep state, Greater Seattle area...
-
Ahhhhh yes I forgot some of us don’t get a vote as Washingtonians
-
Were not out of the water just yet.
Ghost bill, HB2947
Calling it an emergency bill, harder to repeal and prevents referendum!
This is some serious tyranny playing out. Time to refresh the tree.
-
HB 2947 Just introduced. It has all the magazine bans and limitations along with a magazine buy-back. Everyone slapping each other on the back should know better with our shady government. Time to get back on the horn and let them know how you feel....again.
-
It is seriously getting time to refresh the tree of liberty................................Remember Concord

B@stards
Washington gun bills have resubmitted today by state democrats
We need to reject these bills
If anyone has an action link to send to the legislature
Please post it

Agreed and unfortunately there are a lot of gun owners that don't care if the gov takes the AR15s. I have seen gun owners on tv say "you don't need 20 bullets to hunt deer" which shows a lack of understanding of the 2A.
Well anyways if this passes it will be a wake up to a lot of gun owners. This is because 17 round 9mm magazines will no longer be legal. You can use them when hunting or target shooting but they have to be locked up during transport. So you can't walk around with a loaded 9mm and say you were on the way to squirrel hunting.
Some of these gun owners will have to go down to 10. This is because only two other states cap at 15 so there isn't enough demand for every model. I would be really cautious about buying full sized 9mm handguns in this state.

I was surprised to get a email back from Mark Mullet.
I appreciate you writing in your opposition to House Bill 2947. I do not support bills that attempt to go around the regular legislative process, especially ones that are of such consequence. This bill would still have to go through committee hearings and public testimony in the House and the Senate, but since session ends in about three weeks I don’t see the bill being viable.
Best,
Senator Mark Mullet
