I caught one possum, a bobcat that was to small to keep so I let it go and finally with the first good snow I caught my first weasel of the year.
-
Nice
-
Thanks for that photo of the weasel. It answers a question some of us have been batting around. Yes, some weasels DO remain brown all winter. Where was that weasel caught?
-
Nice job and good work. I am still trying to catch my first weasel.... (seem to have rotten luck on that).
-
Good season so far. Congrats on the cat and the weasel

weasel was caught in clark county. we got a dumping of snow last night, nothing caught today and no tracks except deer and elk tracks. should get more action soon though if we don't get any more snow.

when you chase those two big bobcats off of the base... look at the last two pictures. :'(
-
Those are some sweet pictures!

1-16-20 was a busy day.
At 3:29 pm, the cat on the ground hears the young man coming.
At 3:35 pm, the one that had been on on the ground had left and the one on the tree also hears a person coming. At 3:36 pm, the person came and probably didn't know he was that close to the cats.
WOW! that's nice to see this. Thanks for sharing.

Those are GREAT pictures! Do you think the cats were a mated pair?
-
What model stealth cam are you using?

I caught the same bobcat again I think and I let it go as it hadn't grown noticably bigger. about 1 mile away from where I caught it before. I think I will keep the next one that I catch no matter what size it is as I just want to keep one now. I can't even find bobcat tracks in the snow so I feel like this is a down year for cats in my area.
-
 was that cat caught where you had the bait hanging?
-
no, we replaced that bait and nothing has happened yet except a hawk came.
-
I caught a muskrat a few days ago and a weasel today.
-
My dad caught two 40# beavers in bruces shorty swim throughs and I caught a muskrat.
-
caught this bobcat and a muskrat. when I checked the trail cam pics of the trap I found out I wasn't the only one checking the trap :yike: this big boy came through 3 hours before I did.date on trail cam is wrong.
-
Good job !! You got a lot of long tails down there
-
Those are really cool pictures
-
the cougar has come to this other trap and investigate twice now.
-
Today I came up on it and watched it run away from my trap. the date on the trail cam is one day behind. you can see the cougar got there a few minutes before me and then I scared it off.
-
Dam long tails :bash: cool pics
-
Those photos are outstanding. Bet that bobcat was glad he was in the cage trap!!
-
the cougar came back in less than an hour. it then picked up the stick I had put lure on in front of the weasel box. also, a coyote came in during the foggy night. fortunately the cougar didn't mess with the trap again.

Thats awesome, is the gmu youre in still open for cougars? Lots of units still havent met the harvest guideline, looks like a good spot to do some cat calling!

I checked a trail camera today that I had put a lure stick in front of at the base of the bigger tree. not what I expected, but cool pics. really got him to stick around and roll around.
